How they expand from ground, vehicle and air battle? Do they introduce space and sea naval units and game play? How will their in game battle mode improve from selective targeting?ĥ. Do they give value to the soldiers you recruit as part of those Lore stories, so they are not just cattle? Do they expand rosters to go beyond 8 max?Ĥ. Do they make their long war mode more intriguing and complex?Ģ. Do they go Third Person like Mordheim did? or Alter camera movements, get away from Isometric? Imagine a smooth third person turn base mode where your in the action with an isometric map overhead to simply judge the optics and not select from it. Takes time, but what will they learn and improve on. The question isn't will there be a Phoenix Point 2. It's an incredibly interesting class to use and is sometimes a welcome break from typical point and shoot.I am sure they already had concept designs, and layouts. As for the Priest, it's essentially a mind-controlling class that allows you to control enemies for a short amount of time. The Berserker is a powerful warrior that's perfect for any close-up combat, and a little healing. If you side with the Disciples of Anu then you get access to the Berserker and Priest classes, one of the only factions that give you two choices. It travels far and is perfect for any long-distance battle you need to get to. You can get the use of their awesomely huge Tiamat airship that, while slower than any other aircraft in the game, can carry eight units all at once when heading into battle. Nevertheless, the Disciples of Anu focus on mutations and try to augment their abilities which makes for some surprising power and some really interesting gameplay. Rather than aiming for military power, they choose to manipulate humanity to further improve it or mutilate it in a way that removes all humanity, depending on your perspective. However, it's not necessarily a bad thing since they end up holding more followers and havens than any of the other factions. With their new religion, The Exalted run an almost cult-like faction. They can use drone technology to gain some great advantages in many battles that will often turn the tide and help you considerably. It also gives you the interesting Infiltrator Class which is essentially an assassin that works well up-close and at long range. Siding with Synedrion will give you weapons that will grant your soldiers' silenced attacks, paralysis damage, and weapons with more power and range than anything the other factions can give you. It's a smaller, lighter, and quicker aircraft that has an incredible range and an unbelievable speed that will get you over to a threat across the globe in minutes. Rather than New Jericho's Thunderbird, Synedrion boasts the Helios. Rather than New Jehrico's focus on heavy and slow infantry, Synedrion prefers precision and stealth when it comes to research and any weapons or vehicles you have access to. Nevertheless, this democratic communist faction is often classed as the most technologically advanced faction in Phoenix Point which can be unbelievably useful when you're in a tough battle. They have a resolute view on the virus threat and often aim to build a society that is arguably not suited for the time they live in. Synedrion is the only faction in the game that's governed by a council rather than a single leader. If you're looking for military muscle, maybe side with New Jericho, but first, you need to get them to trust you. It's a powerful tank-like soldier with the ability to deploy powerful automated turrets, heal friendly soldiers, and fix vehicles if you need them to. Not only are there weapons, but you also get access to a new class, the Technician. They also have the Thunderbird aircraft which isn't known to be the quickest in the world but has a range and carrying capacity that rivals any other aircraft in the game. This armored tank is incredibly powerful and can take more damage than you ever thought possible. Ultimately, New Jerichos brings in some quick and useful research that involves some awesome Gauss weaponry and a fan favorite, the Armadillo APC. While that may sound pretty awful when looking at a preferred faction to choose, their military advancements can often prove to be a lifesaver in battle. RELATED: Things We Wish We Knew Before Starting Phoenix Point Their leader, Tobias West is an icon of New Jericho and often explains that they don't trust anyone who hasn't proved themselves, so you'll need to work hard to achieve an element of trust or friendship. Looking to restore the old world and bring back 'human purity' by any means necessary, New Jericho is one of the most military-focused factions in Phoenix Point.
